take several days off and say you’re having mental health days

When I need a day, I take one. For way too many years I COULDN’T (in my head)possibly miss school. Now I know I am not that important; I can be replaced by a warm body for a day or two.

I just try to be kind and patient with myself and steal whatever moments I can for myself here and there. Not sure what more I can do beyond that to be honest.

My plan would be to take a few consecutive days off work first. Then I would have a conversation with the principal to see how he/she could help relieve the stress and burnout.

I did take a personal day last Friday. Watched a couple movies, worked on some crafts, and enjoyed time with my Grandpuppy. I thoroughly enjoyed my day, and...not...one...drop...of...guilt!🤣

Just keep swimming. I was burnt out last year. I traveled in the summer. This year is better. I'm the kind of person who just gets further stressed when I take sick days, and then come back and see what hasn't been done.

Trying to do exactly what I did with my stepson when he was burned out on high school. I ask what was the worst thing about your day? Then, What was the best thing about your day? Focus on the best, and then if that fails count the months to retirement.

Spent the pandemic working on myself, got sober, focused on working out, left the music industry and started a career where I can make money and have a steady work schedule. Maybe this isn’t everyone’s version of “growing up” but that’s what this was for me. Now that I’m vaxed and seeing my friends, it’s clear we have little left in common, and honestly a lot of the things they do straight up embarrasses me. I don’t want to lose these long term friends. Has anyone else been in this situation?

I have a game I love to play at the airport. I find someone who has the most vague resemblance to someone famous and then insist they are that person.

Like "Oh my God, you're Tom Hanks! I love so many of your movies and I think you are great and so funny in interviews. How are you feeling? I heard you had covid?"

Guy who very very vaguely resembles Tom Hanks insists he isn't. Then I keep insisting he is.

This is a fun way to pass time during layovers.

Hi fishes,
I'm 22 and planning to take a life insurance. I'm comparing all policies and max life seems attractive as it has good claim settlement ratio and less premiums. But there is no office near our area. My worry is that if there is a need to claim in future, it can be done all online by my nominee? Is it recommended to take policy online in any platform(like policybazaar)?
Other options I'm considering are SBI life, HDFC life which offices are available in my locality.
Please guide

It's very annoying and I find it to be really inapprorpriate, maybe because it's pushy or just I find these comparative things to be a bit irrelevant. How does one handle something like that?
