How a company hire you as a year round guest experience manager when they know they will close for the winter season and then all the sudden they eliminate your position a month before bonus should be distributed because they realized they don’t need a year round manager for this 🤨

I wanted to know how long does Course5i take to release an offer, I cleared all rounds last friday and was going to get an offer from HR early this week (by Monday evening or Tuesday) but didn't get any offer till now.

I loved the role and I am still excited to join the organisation so mailed a follow up to the HR yesterday but did not get any response till now.

I do not want to follow up for the next 1-2 days since I feel it would be too pushy from my end.

I had an interview with the CCO last Friday for a role and I thought it went well cause he said he was impressed by my work and we seemed to hit it off but I haven’t heard back yet and am starting to get a little nervous. Is it too soon to send a follow up? Or is it just an American thing to use superlatives when they’re really not all that impressed...

Curious to hear thoughts and stories about growing within a firm when you’re in a niche area. I am in a specialty area which although unique will never be as large as many other practices. I enjoy what I do but I don’t see doing it for the rest of my career. How do you pivot into a “bigger” or different role? Would love to hear about your experiences.

I have 5 YOE post bachelors in Finance/Accounting for non profit public university and make 130k (good job security, pension and WLB). I have 1 toddler and 1 infant. I plan to have more children but I feel bad being so focused in my growing my career. I thought about about getting an MBA to further grow my career or work in tech. Is it worth getting an MBA and try jumping into tech or should I stay and get an online MBA?

I know as attorneys of color, we often find ourselves being in a room with dozens of attorneys and still were the only attorney of color (I’m a brown woman, very often the only brown person AND only woman in the room). I’m starting to attend more client meetings and depositions, trials, etc. and I’m noticing it more and it’s starting to distract me bc I start overthinking it in the moment. I finished a Phone interview with the Hiring manager and a whole day of video interviews with the director, engineering manager and some Sr. Product Managers. I thought this was the last round.
