(microbio/biochm) I'm jobsearching as a recent MS graduate. Most jobs I'm looking at ask for "1-2 yrs industry experience", which I don't have. However, I have 3+ yrs of significant, independent, paid lab experience, as I mastered out of a PhD (on good terms).

Would taking a *NON*-lab-based science job still fulfill that 1-2yr industry requirement? I already have exp in everything they ask for when they apply,and yet still get rejected w/o interview, so do they just want *any* sci job exp?

So after two weeks of waiting (and giving up on the idea of getting the job really), the recruiter got back to me.

They said due to month-end and quarter-end close they were busy and couldn’t get back to me as quickly for a “good update”.

The recruiter said the CFO enjoyed our call, she, the CFO, will call me next week directly to “discuss some final things”.

Not sure if Im hired or not, but are there any questions about the job, comp (cont.)

Negotiation in new offer: I’m moving from fully remote to fully in office (with chance of hybrid later) offer for associate director in quality in pharma for 170k base, 18% bonus and 75k equity.
