I am a third year attorney at a well know PI firm in Southern California— what is a reasonable salary or other comp I should be asking for? I am licensed in several states and speak Spanish.

PwC just announced a 5% firm-wide base comp increase effective Jan 15. Just had another announcement that the Deals practice will be giving an additional 10%+ increase effective Jan 16 ON TOP of the initial 5% as a market adjustment. Wow.

Long story short- my position is being subcontracted and likely means a pay cut. My wife and I moved 1300miles for this job less than 6m ago.

We obviously don’t want to move again so quickly, and I’m more of a wet lab scientist so remote work isn’t much of a thing. I currently have an offer for 30% more than my uncut salary, local, but it’s a step down in position (Scientist to Research Coordinator). Do I take the money? Or is the title more important? I have heard there is some HR policy that boomerang/ returning employees are taken back on the older salary. Can someone please share more details about the period of applicability and exceptions? Thank you.

I got offer from Deloitte 15LPA fixed + 10% variable bonus(CTC 16.5LPA)+ 4 lacs joining bonus with 18 months bond and additional benefits from Deloitte as Consultant.

YoE:4.3 years
Tech stack: NodeJs developer

Second offer from ITC Infotech of 19LPA fixed + 1 lacs variable for similar role.

Please help me choose. What are the pros and cons? For long term, which is better? Inhand salary comparison?

While doing full and final settlement, do we get salary settlement based on only weekdays or weekends are also included?

Example - Suppose my last day is Friday, then suppose I get X salary, now if my last Day is coming Monday, i.e. Saturday and Sunday included, will I get salary for Saturday and Sunday also, or just for Monday?

Initial recruiter said comp range was 125-140. Just spoke to hiring manager and they said the salary is at 110 plus equity. He asked if that was a deal breaker and I said I would like higher salary but I’m sure we can work something out. How do I go about negotiation?

New offer from current company to move to a new team and they’re like it’s some big promotion. Current role is key accounts + a territory, 125k base + 31k and 19k additional bonus opportunities (which I’ve been hitting consistently). New role is a pay grade jump technically and just key accounts and supporting another team for some other big accounts. Pay is 158k + 27k bonus. Total comp difference is only 3% raise. I got a 6% raise in the same role last year alone. What would you negotiate?
