Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Help me ask for a raise in my upcoming performance review? In sum, my company’s HQ is in Texas and I feel I’m being paid a Texas wage when I live in Los Angeles (the role is remote). We do have a San Francisco office and I want to ask my boss to match me what staff are making there. As that’s more comparable. Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

- fairly decent place to work (from someone who worked with the Vancouver and San Jose offices). never met a blue badger (permanent employee) who had awful things to say.

- Ashley Goodall (their SVP, Methods & Intelligence) co-authored a brilliant book on leadership and people management called “Nine Lies About Work” that makes me believe they can be an awesome place to work

Cons:

- red badgers had low morale since they’re contract workers and can be terminated at any time

I am a senior in undergrad and have offers from the following:
- CDP - Accenture
- Associate -EYP (deal-tech)
- Associate - Simon Kucher

All are in the same city.
Definitely leaning towards EYP since it seems to have best comp and work I'm interested in but wanted to see if there's any reason to pick another since I'm pretty overwhelmed .

Are there any good powerpoint courses one can take to become better at it? I am an experienced hire and struggle to make slides like homegrown Deloitte folks.

Is it wrong to keep your screen active (for IM) but cut out of work early (4pm) to go to the gym? I typically come back and put in another hour or so but feel guilty that it’s done in a shady manner. BTW I’m not at a company/role that demands 60 hour work weeks (lol f that)
