Might just be some venting but it seems to only happen on LinkedIn lately so I figured I post it here:
HR seeks you out, invites you to apply, hypes up your experience and credentials, is seemingly so excited for you to interview. You apply, ask about timeline and next steps, get sent a link for an assessment, okay no problem, complete it and ask about interviewing.
*Crickets*
Follow up, wait 3 days, follow up again. Move on and forget about the company.

Receive a random message saying thanks but no thank you. You push for feedback, reason for decline, anything. You get met with “we do not provide feedback at this stage and we do not provide reason for decline at any stage.” As a recruiter you call out the insanity and ask, “How does that workout for you? Do you get many returning applicants?” Shocked pikachu face when her response was “no.” And this company isn’t the only one doing this to recruiters. And they wonder why “no one is applying!”

That’s fine, but provide a reason for decline. As simple as better suited candidate was selected is acceptable. The hiring manager and HR was the one to reach out to me. As a recruiter I provide feedback in hopes that a good candidate will reapply as a perfect candidate later. My view of this company is now tainted. Same company is whining that no one is applying and is offering a $15k sign-on bonus

I’m struggling at the moment to gauge how much I should be getting paid in my position as i feel I’m heavily underpaid for the work I do, which includes managing digital marketing operations across 12+ countries, manage the studio/creatives plus lead on any campaigns and strategies, etc. I’m also remote UK-based although my company is international. So what do you feel a fair UK wage would be for the role? I love my job/team but the stress isn’t worth it for me atm. Thanks in advance!

Please help! Any good startups to consider? Anyone have any insight or advice?

There really is such a direct correlation between cringey title and cringey posts.

Before LinkedIn...to me, the king of professional cringey was Shingy. Do you guys remember him? He was aol's overpaid "digital prophet" and got paid to visit companies at lunchtime and babble the same kind of nonsense we now call "LinkedIn cringe".

Does anyone think it’s a good idea to beg for a job and put your personal life out there to get sympathy, because that is what I am seeing every day on LinkedIn and then the recruiters and everybody will comment and send the jobs and they will end up with a job or interview the next day.
I’m getting close to the point of doing that because it seems like it is working.

Does anyone else feel that the more content someone puts in their LinkedIn headline, the more full of it they are? I say this as someone with a bunch of stuff lol but at least it’s all at one company and accurate.

I’m talking mostly about two kinds of people. 1. The influencer who is actually unemployed, but lists 25 BS things they do
2. The brand collector, who writes “ex-“ for every former company they worked at and school they went to. Maybe less full of it but still insufferable.

This whole thing is cringe - how proposed after forcing employees to make a fake commercial and attend, calling himself rainmaker, the formatting. Image of the text in comments.

If only he just made a post being excited about being engaged (still not for LinkedIn, but whatever).

I woke up today tired.

My work cell was buzzing and then I remembered something.

I forgot to thank the bus driver that dropped me off a few days ago.

I got up and rushed downstairs to find the bus driver.

It was raining outside but I was already running barefoot to the bus stop.

I stood there soaked in my pajamas as the bus approached.

Then, the door opened. The driver got up and shook my hand.

I sat down and started my shift.

I’m the bus driver. Reminder to love and thank yourself.
