Check out Mueller. It’s a great place for families with parks, playgrounds, lots of sidewalks and protected bike lanes throughout. Very walkable, kid-friendly community with plenty of amenities in the neighborhood and nearby, including a great H‑E‑B, good food, movie theater, etc. About a 10 minute drive from downtown.
I love these threads bc people always suggest a bunch of places outside of Austin. If I had your income, I’d look at Crestview, Hyde park, Mueller, zilker area, Allendale. Tarrytown/Pemberton heights is probably too expensive. I live in crestview and love it even though the neighborhood has gotten pretty $$$$
Totally agree, if you have that kind of money then you’d be insane to sign up for some of these commutes. Of course if you are WFH then that’s a different story.
River Place/ 4 points. By December I would expect home prices to drop as well. I think average home value is 1.2 in that area.
Yeah I mean your budget is probably up to 1.5m ish assuming yall got a nice down payment so that'll give you healthy options around the city.
Are yall looking to continue to grow your family and want something sizeable (i.e 3000qft+) or looking for a starter home (1500-2200sqft) that you may out grow in like 3-5 years?
Tarrytown. Best elementary in town and only 5 min from everything downtown. You can be my neighbor.
Whats HHI?
@PM1, maybe get familiar with the regular acronyms in any groups you find yourself in. This is not formal writing. HHI is a pretty common abbreviation on this app, so maybe you aren't good at coping with change?
Cedar Park.
Circle c!
Circle c is a good shout. Avery ranch is a good spot on the Northside or steiner ranch to be near the water.
These are all suburban living. I'd echo mueller and add shoal creek to be closer to thr city
Do you want to be close to city and/or do you want to be slotted for good public school?
As of now, we don't care 'much' about the schools because the kid is too little.
