The Taylor, in uptown. That's where we all live
If you're a happening single, you will hate Addison. Uptown is the place to be, the Village for a cheaper alternative. When you're ready for a house (or if you're adventurous on independent apartments), Lakewood/East Dallas is better than Highland Park.
Uptown is good, also around a Deep Ellum like near the Farmers Market area there's some good spots, quick walk to nightlife
Addison is decent but it's an older crowd. Uptown area is fun but gets pricey and is crowded af.
I need a roomie!!
West Village just north of uptown. Not as young/sloppy as Uptown or boring/lame as anything outside of the loop.
P3 - west village is basically uptown. OP - uptown, Knox Henderson area, Oaklawn, lower Greenville. Don't worry about proximity to the airport. It's 30 min to Dfw from these areas. And also you're 10 minutes from love field if you fly southwest, delta or virgin.
Highland Park if you are 30+ or Uptown if you're 29>
All of the above! Cheaper areas than the above and close to both airports- Addison, shops at legacy, Frisco
...better than Highland Park unless you're Jerry Jones rich.
Las colinas
+1 on Las Colinas (which is actually Irving) if all you care about is proximity to DFW. Otherwise look in Uptown/West Village if you care about, you know, doing stuff besides work and sleep
Stay on the 35 side of the U, will take 15-20 off commute each way, only about a 25 minute ride from uptown
^ That also. I live off 35E @ Inwood (near Inwood @ Maple) which is an okay area, boring AF but pretty affordable, close to everything (10 to office, 25-30 to DFW, like 5 to DAL).
Why do you want to live halfway to dfw? Most of these posts (with the exception of Irving) are accurate but neglecting that tidbit. I'd recommend downtown if you don't need to be halfway to DFW. Minimum uber to uptown, deep ellum, and there are some great value apartments. We pay $2k for a 1400ft2 3bd 2bath
