I have an initial recruiter phone interview with Square Thursday. Is it it just a phone call or is it a video call and they didn’t specify. If it’s a video call what’s the dress code like? I’m coming from consulting so all my interviews were in suits. Any tips to get past the recruiter phone screen?

Absolutely not. Starting salary for new associates in set by the market. It is non negotiable. Many have tried, many have failed.
Not trying to be rude, but staff are a dime a dozen, and if they thought their experience was worth something, they would have brought them in higher or as an experienced staff. Especially I'm a covid environment.. I don't think they will have any luck. Can't hurt to try, but I would be surprised if they got anywhere
I don’t think there’s room for negotiation, but can I ask why she’s leaving IB to be an associate?
Pwc 3 probably still better pay and hours than big 4
you can negotiate for an experienced associate position then you can negotiate salary.
They can negotiate starting at experience staff versus new staff.
Yea no room literally at all for negotiation :l
No. Unless she gets an offer from a competitor which clearly outlines a higher salary for the same entry-level role, no chance. She's not coming in as a manager or above, so I doubt she has much room for negotiation.
Not at all
I thought it was impossible to, but I’ve seen people negotiate their way to a second year. TBD if they actually get Senior the following year or stay an A2 for another year.
