DOJ currents and formers: how long did it take you to go from applying to a main justice litigating component to your first day on the job? I'm having a hard time setting work/life boundaries and sticking to them because I'm afraid I will be replaced by another junior who's willing to work harder. But I also don't want to set a bad precedent for myself that will carry into my career later on and cause burnout. Thoughts? Advice?

I've just been offered a role at c$85k as starting offer, is it reasonable to ask for $95k which is just over 10% more or am I pushing my luck? Should I ask for more? Should I make a counter offer or ask them to come back with best and final?

Scored an awesome midlevel role at a remote agency that I negotiated to start in the new year.

I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA.
Am I asking too much or shall I take the offer of 7.5 LPA?
