I have 6 YOE in. Net+Angular and got an offer from Legato Health Technologies with 20 LPA Fixed, i joined Infor just 11 months ago with 12LPA Fixed and i will get the hike in August. If i resign now i will not get hike and i am a critical resource in the project, i guess Infor might try to retain me by matching offer. What should i do? Should i resign ASAP and not negotiate with Infor . I have all these doubts because Infor is a product based company.

Sorry, OP.
Your local Bar Association should be able to recommend an attorney. They sometimes have an attorney referral program with free consults.
Most attorneys will speak with you for free, anyway, so shop around.
There is a Deloitte legal plan that will get you guidance. I have been through this. Contact your insurance company once you receive a notice. Your insurance company will provide a panel of attorneys you can pick from. They will handle it from there. It will be a mess initially because you may need to make appearances in the court at least once. Once a settlement has been decided the insurance company will then decide what they are covering. You may need an attorney of your own at that point to make sure you don't pay anything to the other party since the insurance companies find no one at fault. Having said this though the insurance company lawyer will try to have the case dismissed in the first hearing itself or may be even before that because no one was going at fault. Just stay alert and informed and you will be fine. Insurance companies deal with this a lot
Counter sue.
Get a lawyer
Also, talk to your insurance company. Some of this might be covered and their attorneys regularly work on stuff like this.
I'm still waiting on that cont.
PwC has a group legal plan, check if Deloitte has the same, helpful in cases like this
Go to a therapist and talk about anxiety. Counter sue for emotional distress
Try not to stress, let the lawyers do their thing. This sounds pretty routine.
OP this actually happened to me, but I was at fault in the accident. My insurance company provided me with an attorney and the investigation is underway? This happened over five years ago and to my knowledge no ruling had been made
Deloitte provides legal services. Look it up on dnet
Ask this on r/legaladvice.
Honestly OP I highly doubt you'll have to pay anything out of pocket, especially considering the report finds no fault. The case will likely get thrown out, if not, your insurance company should have you covered
Thanks pwc1 and d3.... Any legal stuff is a hassle and stressful... I really appreciate all the advice. I will post updates as this unfolds
Personal Injury defense attorneys.
You'll be fine. This seems pretty routine. If the insurance company couldnt find out whose fault it was your lawyer will definitely be able to get you off the hook. Courts always put the onus on plaintiff to prove their case rather than the defendant proving their innocence
I have been through a bulkshit personal case like this. Totally unrelated. But just want to say I understand the stress. It's horrible and I feel for you. Deep down if you didn't do anything majorly wrong; you'll be fine. But it may suck tossing some cash at legal fees. Sounds like this will all be fine in the end, just have to always keep that in mind
Yeah the whole day has passed and still no letter in the mail. At least If I know how much we are being sued for i can think about it. As I mentioned the other party had a fracture (slightly older lady). I believe health insurance covers these sort of stuff and hoping it's not something astronomical like more than 50k or something... Just sucks balls
Also, no, the other side should not call your gf directly. Tell them to call the insurance company, and if they have any additional questions your attorney will get back to them.
If you have a lawyer, the other side is not allowed to call you. Even if you don't, you have no obligation to answer. It will be used against you more easily in civil cases than criminal. I still remember some stuff from lawyering ;-)
Just received the mail. Claims negligence on my girlfriends part. Claims permanent injury (5 months after the incident) and says 'seeks justice against defendant to a reasonable amount for compensation in medical expense, lost wages, future medical costs etc.' does not mention an amount. Time to lawyer up. FML. The first time receiving a legal notice and honestly these lawyers write it up to scare the shit out of you. What if the reasonable amount is hundreds of thousands? How can a regular person pay so much
