Left consulting and started in FinTech this week. My senior manager was shocked we had to bill time hourly/daily and now I will never have to fill out a timesheet again except for PTO.

I am a contractor with a three month rolling contract and have decided not to renew my contract again. Should I give two weeks notice? I had planned on giving 3 weeks notice, that is until two people in my immediate personal circle have said my company will probably just let me go the day I tell them since I am a contractor.
