Hi there, I’ve been told that Deloitte (London, UK) is going to make me an offer but haven’t heard back and it’s been over two weeks. The recruiter mentioned it would be around the “m2 grade”. Any idea what this pay range is? … I have 3 YOE working in NHS finance and have applied for a position in Risk Advisory, public sector. Curious what life at Deloitte is like? Does a work life balance exist?

There is literally no reason not to do this, especially since someone else is paying for it
i think their thought process is if someone had enough time to get a cert then they probably don’t have client work
Dont take CEH if you want to go to offensive security. But feel free if you want to just know the very very basics of it.
Oh then yes, do it!
At the end of the day, experience matters the most. Having these certs on your resume may help you get noticed, but without experience, certs don’t bring much value
Not saying that you should not go for certs. Certs are good but they’re mostly used as a “golden stamp” on your resume for recruiters to notice you. Higher salary is more dependent on the experience you have
I have good opinion of both of them, I think the market as well… specially for the CISM (coming from ISACA which has good reputation) is not the typical cert but changes your mindset and it is a plus for GRC/ IT management positions… CEH could proof your skills on a different technical/cyber level…which is awesome too. Why not pursuing them?
Get the CISM and leave
