My offer letter mentions occasional weekend work, but the current Analysts told me they haven't seen a Saturday off. I’m trying to decide if the six-figure bonus is worth losing every single weekend of my 20s. I was all excited about this offer, but now not so much. Is this normal? Should I expect similar from other offers?

Hi folks need your suggestion here it would help me i guess . I have been working as manual tester for 3.5 years. I tried learning coding and felt difficult so gave up on that. Right now i feel i should switch to a customer facing role because i think it's a good fit for me and also it seems quite interesting and engaging. Hi everyone, I'm new to Canada and want to start my career here in the Financial and Banking industry. I have passed the CFA level 2 exam and was wondering if I have to complete the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) as most of the job postings here mention about it. I saw that if someone passes at least the CFA level 1 exam then the requirement of CSC is exempted. Can anyone enlighten me about this? As the CSC exam costs above 1000 CAD, I wanted to be sure if I need it before investing behind it.

Is IB worth the sacrifice of WLB? Obvious pay is really good but are the prestige and pay worth it if you’re planning on only doing it for a couple years?

Currently working at an IRA with great WLB. Honestly I love my job, the firm, and people I work with.

Also doing MBA part time at a T15 school. Thinking about switching to IB but I’ve done my research and I think I would burn out of IB in two years but I might be ok with that for the opportunities after.

Need career advice. Trying to break into a finance role, preferably an Analsyt role but I have no transferable experience. I worked as a mortgage loan officer (which is sales) for 2 years after college, but since mortgage is such a niche industry, no hard skills transfer and have no relevant undergrad internships unfortunately. I know I can essentially get any sales job I want in finance IE: financial advisor etc. but don’t want to be stuck in sales forever. Any advice?
