My roomate interviewed for LEK experienced hire class - didn’t get it after final round. The firm just reached out again, and are piloting a program where there’s an evaluation program 6 months in to determine whether she stays or not. They say evaluation will be the same as other associates, but why not just hire more associates..? Are they just hiring temporary workers? Is she gonna get screwed?

I interviewed with capgemini for SAP ABAP role and my YOE is 4 years. Just 2 hours after my interview, I got a call from someone at Capgemini saying that I am selected.
They just asked my notice period and current location.I asked them, what is the next round going to be and they said that it is going to be salary discussion. But till now, no one has reached out to me.
Does it mean they got another candidate for same job?
If they get back to me, how much should I ask?

Wife found out today that the Schedule A fed position she was hired into (and has been doing for year) was misappropriated to her because she didn’t meet the certs on USA Jobs and her permanent position is now a temporary one that will end in 10 months…..I’m flabbergasted and disgusted by the hiring agency, any know of resources (legal or otherwise) for fed employees in the weird situation?
