My son plays travel soccer (he’s 8yo) and within the town club they split the teams up into an A team and a B team. My son got placed on the B team and he has not been having fun. Recently a player on the B team said he sucked and that’s why he’s on the B team. Is it me or is 8yo a bit young to be splitting teams like this?

confession:i regret not prioritizing finding a good partner when i was in my college/early career years and envy those who did. it's harder now mid-senior career because you have less time and it actually requires you put time and effort into finding a good relationship

Anyone have situational depression? Can’t stop beating myself up over a decision a year ago. Basically missed out on a massive amount of money. I know this seems trite and i never even cared thatt much about money before this year.

So many other good things happened to me this year - got married, got a puppy, moved etc, and yet the one thing i keep returning to is this decision as though i ruined my life. Ironically the only thing ruining my life is my outlook and yet i just can’t stop.

I literally cannot stomach to be around my in laws any longer. My wife and I are in neither political camp and we pretty much have the perspective that no matter what the outcome is every 2 and 4 years isn’t going really affect our lives all that great. We just have the attitude that “things happen, but why let that affect our daily happiness?” My in laws are retired, bored, and do nothing but share Fox News videos on Bookface and have just become so angry. When he texted ending it l….it wasn’t me, like we weren’t us, his words were from someone else, like I didn’t matter. Are initial law firm consultations usually free? I’m on H1B and wanted to schedule an initial consultation with an immigration lawyer to discuss some GC options (outside of employment based) and was told I’d have to pay $200 for a consultation (45 mins session).
