My supervisor never praises me, even when I do something far beyond my job scope. Instead, he likes to criticize me and show off his pride. He often uses himself as an example, saying what he would do if he were in my position, but when issues actually occur, he pretends he didn’t know anything and only comments a lot after the problem is resolved. How should I motivate myself when I’m reporting to this kind of supervisor?
