My team is considering Auditboard vs Workiva for our SOX program. Anyone have any recommendations or input on the two? Worth noting that our SEC reporting team does use Workiva which would create linkage between reporting and our scoping/risk assessment.

I can second that. I implemented AuditBoard in my IA group, incredible success story. The team at AB make things very easy. SOX followed after us with similar success

I have used both. AuditBoard all day. Workiva is very clunky not intuitive. I could never get process owners to get in it.

AuditBoard is very easy to use and navigate.

Thank you!

I've used both, and I think if your SEC team already has it, Workiva will be fine. Plus the reps are super excited about their product and come to the office all the time. At least back when I was in industry.

I have used Workiva and AuditBoard and found AuditBoard a lot easier to use. Process owners seem to have an easier time navigating AuditBoard and are more receptive to using it.

AuditBoard is an excellent product and would recommend that any day.

definitely AuditBoard

I've used and implemented both Auditboard and Workiva. If you're looking for a solution to simply organize your controls and testing documentation, Auditboard will suffice. If you're looking for a solution to also track issues and create useful reports and dashboards that can provide insight into testing status, issues, remediation plans, and can be dropped into Audit Committee decks, Workiva has vastly superior capabilities.
The Auditboard team can do a solid implementation that an internal audit team can work with. For Workiva, in order to get the most out of its capabilities and fully leverage the features that differentiate it from others, it's best to use a third party implementation team.
Feel free to DM if you're still making this decision and want further input.

Despite what most recommended in this thread, my Director wanted to go with Workiva. I have to say, I LOVE it. I am incredibly impressed with its capabilities and how customizable everything in the tool is. And the reporting is awesome, which is the main reason we were looking for a new tool.

When you look to choosing a position to apply for and lets assume you get to be choosy - will you go for a org with big HR team or smaller HR team? Currently an hrbp for a medium global org with 10 hrbps in the Americas org supporting different groups/ regions like i support canada and a business group - looking at a role where hrbp report to sr hrbp and she reports to Vp of HR. The TA Manager reports to the VP of Hr as well. Sounds like a smaller HR team - are there any benefits to this move?

Does anyone work for a large privately held company that is using their IA strategically to identify risks specific to the current pandemic? If so, what company and what are you looking at?

So I’m probably thinking too much. But I’m looking to leave public accounting and have an opportunity with internal audit. I want to make sure where I go I have good opportunities to advance and if needed be marketable to other companies.
