When you look to choosing a position to apply for and lets assume you get to be choosy - will you go for a org with big HR team or smaller HR team? Currently an hrbp for a medium global org with 10 hrbps in the Americas org supporting different groups/ regions like i support canada and a business group - looking at a role where hrbp report to sr hrbp and she reports to Vp of HR. The TA Manager reports to the VP of Hr as well. Sounds like a smaller HR team - are there any benefits to this move?

Probably more hands on experience with the smaller team, more opportunities for growth..all the classic examples. Higher risk of friction though in the case the personalities don't mesh.

I'm currently on a small global team, and it is rough. While I'm not super involved with our international locations, I have the most experience with benefits and leave admin so everyone on the US team comes to me (even our CHRO). I've also been on calls where my "manager" looks to me to speak on other projects she or one of our global generalists should be able to speak to.

I was once part of a Benefits Team that was part of a much larger HR team. It made taking time off a little easier, and it was easier to bounce ideas off of others because they knew what I was talking about 🤣. Also, it helps from a learning perspective. I also handle compensation now, and I'm really learning as I go. Our CHRO just over promises to our leaders, and I execute.

Personally, I would go to the organization with the larger HR team

I am also an open source contributor for some NEXTjs related tooling.

Hi All,

I am holding an offer of 12.2LPA having 4.4 yrs of experience in Citrix Administration.

Not ready to negotiate more, should I accept the offer?

Hi Everyone,

Need your valuable insights. Having an YOE of 11 years and offered TechLead position with a CTC of 30 LPA (28.5 LPA Fixed) a month ago.

Though their WLB and culture seems good, I kept feeling that I am being lowballed which pushed me to give further interviews.

Received another offer for same role from another PBC for 35LPA (33 Fixed). Is it OK to ask the first company to revise the CTC (up to their best) where the DOJ is in 10 days?

Is this legal? My spouses company just decided to change their comp structure for account managers. It was base + comm, now it’s commission only but nothing changed, OT commission is the same, didn’t get more points, just took away the base pay and said work harder basically. So now they have to worker harder to get $50k they were already making. (Not a decision based on employee performance, they’ve been crushing it. I think the company is just trying to save money they overspent else where)

As an experienced, SHRM certified HRBP , I would just like some feedback on your opinion of the differences in the roles between an HRBP an HR Manager besides the obvious that the manager should have direct reports. I am an HRBP and work in step with 3 HRM’s. They all 3 just got out of cycle raises of between 5-20% 😳 and I received nothing. I am quite aware of our HR code that salary is confidential but I was told about this. Would you be looking for other employment? Or stay?

Need some advice. During May of 2021 an operations manager and an hourly Hr employee started a relationship while the ops manager was married. We had supervisors give us pictures of those two kissing at workFast forward they are now engaged and getting married. The HR worker does not work here anymore since July 2021. Is it too late to investigate the ops manager for misconduct ? The ops manager has worked here for 15 years and is super valuable, the operation literally can not run without him.
