Just don’t do audit at all. Why pigeon hole yourself

But the hours.....😂 I want a good work life balance I don’t need to be rich haha

like

Wow are you me? I was in your shoes and went into “consulting” aka risk advisory lol. Hours are better but pay? Not that much. I think you’d find higher pay in industry although you’d probably have a mini busy season each month for close. A friend of mine recently made the switch to industry and is working 12 hour days during the month end close.

like

Omg I don’t think I can do 12 hour days anymore lol

Govt is also an option if you want a strict 40 hours

Great pay and less hours! Love that attitude

Internal audit in industry is super chill

I need opinions on this. Just started a new PM role (at an IPG agency) last month but I recently got hit up by a recruiter from another agency (WPP agency) for a pretty enticing PM role on a 360 AOR account. Further context: The PM role I'm in currently is my first PM role ever (I came from an entry level AE/Producer backgrund) I know jumping ship for the other PM role would look terrible but tell me why you would OR would not jump ship?

I feel like there is an easier way to do this on line learning. Same grade teachers at the same school should be one big group. For example: One teacher has the discussion or lecture and does the presentation to all classrooms. One teacher mans the computer to answer questions that come in and handles any tech issues. Another teacher grades assignment and takes role and handles the admin part. Wouldn’t this be easier? Teachers could rotate or just stay in one role.

I romanticized being a consultant while working in industry. Then I got a consulting job, a couple promos, and now the idea of consulting just makes me roll my eyes. I love the pay and I don’t mind working hard, w/ long hours, but the “business of consulting” is exhausting (e.g. maintaining utilization, selling engagements, 6k iterations of a deck, etc). Great company, great co-workers, and interesting engagements.... I can’t be the only one feeling this way. Time to exit or is this a phase?

Anyone have experience moving from agency to I’m-house or brand side? I was just let go from Edelman & it was my 2nd lay-off in 2 years and my 3rd agency. I’m worried if I look at another agency (if they’re even hiring) that I’ll get laid off again. I was an SAE. Any advice is welcome!
