Anyone come through LGA terminal B in the last few minutes? How long was the line/wait for a yellow cab?
Question: I currently have a bit over $3000 worth of VTI ETF shares. Now that I’ve crossed over the $3k mutual fund minimum threshold, will this ETF begin to act as a mutual fund, where I’ll have the ability to DCA at any dollar amount instead of the full cost of the share? Does it automatically convert to VTSAX shares?
At a former company, they let you expense $20 for working 10+ hours in a day, but you could never use it because it would always be rejected. Recently started at a new firm, and I had a rough week last week (two 14+ hour days). New firm has a similar policy, so I asked. Was told not to submit the $20 reimbursements. Just as I was about to get frustrated, he told me I should get dinner for my wife and me. Only rule was to keep it under $100. Don't like working 14 hour days, but this was nice.
Any here from pwc app tech - san jose or sfo offices? I wanted to refer a friend and wondering who the recruiting / talent acquisition contacts are. Appreciate your help.
What expense have you gotten away with
Curious, what's the largest work expense you've ended up taking the hit for? Why weren't you able to expense it?

Bay Area fish... Anyone working in FiDi live in South San Francisco, Daly City or even further south (Burlingame, San Mateo, etc)? Would you recommend it? Thinking about things like: commute time (office, airport), cheaper rent, more boring areas, cleaner/safer, etc.
Just landed CLT. Let's do it this week!
Bryant Park Whole Foods - you can't walk past this fucking place without navigating a sea of dickheads trying to sell you "Hello Fresh" or some other bullshit. Do I like to cook? How about fuck you.
My job said I can expense AWS Cloud Practitioner certification but I don’t know where to go from here? Do I sign up on Amazon somewhere? Where do I get study material? Etc
Anyone at ATL Sky Club?
Do you expense a team member's birthday cake?
To con't the conversation on engagement rings💍 - what do they symbolize to you? My BF and I got into a discussion about this last night. He views them as an investment and an "asset" on the books for his future family. He also has grandparents who had to finance their trip to America by selling their jewels. I see the ring as more of a gift to the future bride that is an expense that can be sold for money if needed, but isn't an investment. I'm fine w/ lab grown, he is not. Thoughts?
Got recruited for a Technical Account Manager (TAM) at Google - anyone have any insights on the role/salary/ interview questions?
SA Cybersec & Privacy salary range at PwC?
In the interview process for a FAANG. It’s been almost 2 months, and I’ve been through four interviews. Still waiting on final decision. Does that seem like a long time frame?
When you have been ghosted by your ex, how do you get over the anger and hurt when there is so much you want to say to them? PS: I cheated on her and came to tell her the truth. We went on couple therapy and things were fine (at least what I thought). She then waited for me to travel for work and came to pick up all her stuffs, blocked me from everywhere and just disappeared. She keeps all the payments I making (didn’t change that, her phone, Netflix, her car, etc.) but totally disappeared.
Do you stay at a good firm with a good reputation where you are siloed in a back office role with no growth or go to a lesser known firm with less track record and opportunity to learn and grow? I’m in an extremely operational role and want to leave but the benefits down the line could be grand. How do you evaluate a decision like this?
Why do people have more than one credit card? I like to just have one and build up the points on that. I know people that have cards for everything..
AMEX Cust Service Reps in India sound like they're hosting a game show: "Tell you what I'm gonna do for you sir; I'm gonna waive off not 1, not 2, but all THREE service charges! How does that sound?!"

Looking for a Tudor black bay 58 with black dial on nato? Tourneau in NYC on Madison and 53rd has one. I bought it last night then exchanged it just now for the leather strap. Call them and ask for Semsa and tell her the guy who just swapped for the leather told you. Unfort unless you’re an existing tourneau customer they won’t ship to you Good way to use that $500 chase sapphire reserve rebate for Tourneau. They also have a Tudor GMT Pepsi in stock
Is anyone else teaching from a trailer this year? They are building a bigger school, so I hope to have a regular classroom next year.
Trying to figure out which firms (MBB, Boutiques, & other strategy shops) have an office in Portland, OR...hoping FB would be faster than google. Pls let me know! 🍻
Just finished final round at a company and will be discussing compensation soon. How do I leverage an offer from a competing firm for a higher salary at the firm I’d actually like to work at?
Thoughts on GE Healthcare? GE Healthcare appears to be expanding rapidly and recruiting aggressively. Their impending IPO looks to paint a promising future.
Background:Asia, expecting to promote to M this cycle. Looking for some advice on being headhunted/jumping ship. I’m speaking to HR from another big 4 + a recruiter for another firm for an M role, and it looks like the $ and potentially benefits will be bigger, but I’m not that keen on moving unless the $ is a huge jump. Any advice on how I might navigate this? Have interviews next week for the other roles.
Working as an audit staff in big 4 shared service centre. It's been 2 years. I really don't like what I do there, also it seems I won't like what I'll be doing there even after becoming senior. Thinking of leaving and joining industry once ACCA qualified. (One more paper left). But people around me discourage that growth potential and earnings in industry are way less compared to public accounting. I know that too but I still want to leave. I'd like to stick to core accounting. Thoughts pls
I've seen a lot of posts around APA and utilisation. Please correct my understanding if I'm wrong. APAs are only for those who have tested +ve or are taking care of family members who have tested +ve and cannot be used for any other situation. If that's true and you/your family have defeated Covid, why the fuss over utilisation? P.S. plz let me know if there's another use of APAs I'm not aware of
Got offered my dream job - but want the comp to be higher. How do I go about negotiating without being too aggressive? They offered 100k and the initial range they gave was 95-110
