What is take home salary if 9.5 lakhs CTC in UST
Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

So- we run Dynamic Creative Optimization (DCO) for our clients display ads in a feed and corresponding google sheet via Google DoubleClick. My q is- does anyone know what systems out there allow for creating a template that will automatically pull a product image from say Target.com and automatically building the ad & copy without manually making 1000 ads via row for row in the google sheet? I know this is possible but curious if Sizmek or Flashtalking are more common in this type of creative development.

It’s good that you Can do more, but will it actually be required in the job? I’m technically senior in SEO with +6 YoE (>$110k/year) without using much more than Google Sheets and downloading data from 3rd party apps like Ahrefs. It’s the experience that brings insights from past launches and the competitive landscape analysis that would add value in an SEO role to ask for more money. But you have 1 YoE in SEO specifically.
If the role was SEO Data Analyst/Engineer, then yes, ask for a higher pay. If they only require an SEO Specialist (research and launch proposals/tests), then that’s what you can expect with 1 YoE in SEO.
Alternatively, I would recommend you to include in your counter offer a change in role from SEO Specialist to SEO Engineer, redefine the role description to include SEO data automation and tools implementation (and tell them how it can accelerate organic growth which otherwise would take longer manual labor hours), and that way they can see how the added value your skills bring to the table can be directly reflected in the role and pay.

Pro tip: if they say no, then do an actual SEO Specialist role (no engineering/data analyst duties) while building a side hustle of SEO Integrations and tools on freelance websites. You’ll work less hours in the day to day and complement your salary through freelance gigs in the leftover productive time.
Agreed! 65k is good for entry level SEO at a mid sized agency with no data skills. You might even be able to shoot higher depending on your programming abilities
Seems reasonable. If they counter with something in the middle ground between the original offer and what you’re asking I’d see if you can squeeze out some other perks. Ask for additional PTO / vacation and other perks. Sometimes they can’t go over a certain amount for salary and thus will pile on some other perks to make up for it.
PLEASE COMMENT WHAT YOU THINK!!! :)
I believe you deserve more money since you do a lot more
