Yamazaki 18 or any of the age stated Hibiki’s.
Yamazaki 18 is just as impossible to find in Japan as it is here. They weren’t even selling it at the distillery when I went.

P1 - 😭 - I heard they are tougher to find in Japan than in the States.
I haven’t had a lot but I like the Nikka Coffee Whiskey. Then again, that’s fairly available in the states around $80/bottle.
Heard they have good/special blantons over there - as a bourbon guy that’s what id get

Skip red/black/green. They’re garbage. You want SFTB and Gold
Search for Japanese in this bowl - there was a great thread just a week or so ago
Ah, thank you didn't think of this.

Unfortunately it’s often harder to find bottles of Japanese Single Malts in Japan than it is in the US. The US gets allocated a s*** ton more than any other country as these companies are trying to grow their global brand awareness (I used to work for Beam Suntory which owns Yamazaki). However there are some Japan exclusive releases that might be worth keeping an eye out for
Yamazaki still does Limited Edition releases but man good luck getting hold of those
whatever he can get his hands on that tastes good
