New here and not entirely sure what the protocol is but please raise your hand(s) if you have a cybersecurity or data privacy background and are interested in the M&A due diligence space with EY TAS.

What’s the travel like? I have a referral but they’re not sold w the travel life

like

Am interested

Rare opportunity for non-CPA/audit seniors and managers looking for exposure to different industry sectors e.g. private equity, financial services, healthcare etc. Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, PCI QSA, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM etc. will be a big plus.

@EY 1 - what’s your current role, location? Is there some way to communicate directly on this app?

Having trouble connecting the dots for cybersecurity and m&a dd. Is it dd for cyber security acquisitions? Then why need the technical background?

@Booz Allen 1 it’s cybersecurity diligence on acquisition targets. Just like you would do financial diligence, tax diligence, legal diligence etc. buyers need to assess the cybersecurity posture of an acquisition target so they aren’t taking on something with major vulnerabilities unknowingly. Think Verizon’s Yahoo acquisition...

@Associate 1 the travel is not as bad as traditional consulting i.e. the usual Sunday to Thursday thing. Diligence travel is shorter (a night or two at a time) and spontaneous (based on the specific transaction).

Sounds like an interesting opportunity. Anything that can be shared regarding salaries if a fit?

@EY OP - do you have a burner? Would like to discuss more with you

Reviving this thread in case folks are still coming across it and I am also going to repost since several months have passed.

We are recruiting even more aggressively so if you’re interested definitely reach out. I believe there’s a direct message option on here but I’ve never used it so I’m creating a burner for emails as well.

Looking forward to hearing back!!

Just got a “Sheraton Vacations” special offer to basically get 5 nights at a Florida property for $250.

I read the fine print and other than a need to be flexible in terms of when you book, it doesn’t seem like there is a catch.

Anyone familiar with this “promotion” and what the downside might be? Or are they just looking to drive revenue to their other areas (restaurants, spa, etc) with a cheap room?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Performance reviews coming at the end of the this year and I’m wondering 1) if my salary is on par with what I should expect 2) how to approach conversations about raises and promotion with my supervisor. Thanks for any insights.

I like my current job, company and public accounting. I know I am being underpaid at $70k as a senior tax associate with 2-3 years of experience as I have talked with my local peers as well as local recruiters. Also, I know outside hires to my company get paid about $5-$10k higher than me, but they don’t get a raise the following year. My question is what is everyone’s experience with company hopping to get a pay bump within public accounting?
