I work for a CPA firm, 45-50 employees, and we're looking at expanding our benefits package. Right now, we only offer 2 or 3 weeks vacation, 1 week paid sick time, healthcare, 401(k) with profit sharing, and Life/Long-term disability coverage. No dental, no parental leave, no ST disability, no EAP etc.

I'm currently serving notice period and had taken some sick leaves. Now the supervisor has escalated this to HR on the grounds productivity loss and all. HR is saying the LWD will be extended to compensate those sick leaves and asked me to check with my supervisor as they can't do anything.
Both the supervisor and the HR are intending to extend my LWD.

I alluded to this in other posts but should confess that I strongly dislike consulting firms. I don’t like how they treat their employees and make them think that their advancement is based and meritocracy when it’s not, I don’t like how they view clients through singular lenses of “efficiency” and profitability when issues are often far more complex, and I don’t like that many of their employees make it known that they think they’re the smartest ones in the room when the opposite is often true.

Someone emailed an attachment to the meeting group today, wrote it was for "today's sesh" and if I ever see them in the flesh I will strangle them
