HCL Technologies offer being delayed and recruiter keeps saying that there's a problem with their "Offer release portal system." I have already stated my issues with relocating until after I have the offer signed and ready. The project is supposed to start on the 19th and I'm supposed to join before, or on that date. It's already coming up soon and I don't have the official offer so that I can confidently start the relocation process. Has anyone else recently dealt with this?

Absolutely hated LEK when I was there out of undergrad. No idea what Parthenon is like though

Not client facing? Do they just sit in the office grinding on models and slides?
Yes! You will usually get to meet the client initially and also the management teams of the business being DD’d but that’s about it.
It’s a grind, no way to sugar coat it... but if that’s what your into
EY-P does do a lot of due diligence but there’s been a shift to doing more M&A work such as integration, op model transformation, cost takeout, etc. Take it from me... due diligences are miserable.
This is correct. CDDs will burn you out especially if you get staffed back to back.
To be clear, LEK probably has a way worse culture (people seem to really like Parthenon!), but is dissimilar in that it’s not entirely diligence. Overall about half of my cases have been strategy, 40% diligence, and 10% that other bucket mentioned before (integration, ops model - we don’t do much of it).
It’s a grind and a half, but the cases are great for being outside MBB (however, if you’re not a top performer, you usually only do DD’s).
My best friend worked at Parthenon I can pretty confidently say that both firms have similar cultures and similar levels of dislike and like among people who work there lol (at least at the offices we worked in, respectively). Grass really isn’t always greener esp when they hadn’t gotten rid of double staffing - my friend’s hours were definitely consistently worse than mine
I wish we could merge with LEK. The complimentary books of business would be amazing
