I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

Totally depends on the industry. Some use the term VP because it makes you feel good and in a large company you might be a senior manager role. I had a span of control of over 135 with 7 managers reporting to me each with their own teams. I was running a 700m book of consulting business and was a senior manager. Not even director. So yeah it really depends on the company and industry. Finance for example nearly everyone that manages people is a VP tech / pharma / mfg not so much.
Hard to say without specifics. My move from Sr. Manager (IC) to Director with 5 direct reports and 30 more below them was about a $60k increase to base, bonus multiplier from 30% to 45% and a large pile of RSUs. Those three combined mean $270k TC increase. VPs around here are few and far between and are seven figure folks.
Yeah, big tech and AI adjacent. I’m a Dir and have been $465k (‘24), $492k (‘25), and close to $600k this year. Our stock price has been insane. One of our VPs retired a couple months ago even though it meant leaving a couple million in RSUs unvested. He had enough houses and Porsches
Our organization is very flat and there aren’t a lot of VPs compared to my last gig where it seemed everyone was a Sr. Dir or VP of something.
I think so - all in all my promo to VP was $100K more, half of that being equity, a quarter base and a quarter bonus
