Job-Hunting reach-out to VC from previous fundraising effort for own startup
I have e-mail archive from 1y ago of my reach-out to 65 VCs in London: we had video calls, they might remember me still, who knows.
I want to send a reply/forward message to the same e-mail thread from abc@gmail.com, saying that I am looking for roles within their VC firm. Is that a good idea?
Or shall I just start new email thread and mention how I know them?
I had an interview w/ the Hiring Manager at Boston Consulting Group for a position and it went so well that the HM said on the spot I was going to be moving onto the next round. Its been weeks since that interview & I've had to follow up w/ the recruiter 3x asking for an update. I mentioned interviewing elsewhere but prioritizing BCG. He finally responded to that saying he was going to debrief with the HM and get back to me but nothing... what gives?

Almost every job listing I've seen has a remote option, even at companies which traditionally were opposed to remote employees (IBM, Amazon, etc.).
Its a mixture based in your job role, but it seems like hybrid is the most common.
I've seen more Hybrid in the Toronto or GTA area for Client Experience Manager roles (the ones focused on process improvement, creation and developing a team of reps not the ones that really just mean account manager).
However, hoping to get a remote job as I don't live in that area anymore and the smaller cities we're hoping to live in (London,ON or Waterloo, ON). In addition, I work well remote and don't have someone walking into my office every few minutes.
Not sure how to convince interviewers enough to put me over the top though?
I would focus on always filtering jobs for 100% remote.
