Your academic background is certainly concerning. Not just the 6years to graduate and school switches, but it sounds like you struggled to do well in non-elite schools. If you have a good reason for the switches, you’ll need to address in an additional essay. For M7 you’re competing against ivy league grads with 3.8+ GPAs. Imo you have to mitigate with a 740+ gmat because schools will question if you can handle the workload. In terms of yoe, usually schools weigh years of post-grad experience more heavily. Depends more on what you accomplished than length of time though.
They could fill every class with only Ivy League graduates, but then there would be no diversity. Just like Harvard could accept only valedictorians but again they would be even more boring than they already are.
Real talk: Your chances at M7 are essentially nil. You’ve done okay professionally but nothing spectacular that can counter your poor academic record.
Hire a consultant and apply to some T20 schools if you truly want an MBA. Although it sounds like you’re just in it for the prestige.
I kind of had a feeling about that. I'll share more info about my essays later. I'm preparing a consortium application for the R2 deadline January 5th
