Not sure if I can ask this here, but has any of you dealt with an NPD ex husband? How did you survive before getting divorced? Do you have any advices? I’m trying to find a new job that pays me more so I can start moving pieces around. But I’m also scared to do that. He is trying to slowly exhaust me and destroy me mentally and emotionally. I live in VA, been married for 6 years and have no kids. My spouse and I are just separated and about to get divorced in a month. My spouse left their job a year after we married due to which, I need.

This is not about dating, but about family relationships. I live far from my family and provably only see them once a year. They have been visiting for the past month and to go from not seeing them to seeing them so often has been an adjustment. I love them, but get so impatient with them and then I feel so guilty. Anyone else have this complicated dynamic with family?

Anyone have advice for advancing in your current role? My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. I also went above and beyond my job as well (covering for him for a month while he was away on paternity leave) while taking on other projects outside of my job title and got zip—no raise or recognition. Any advice would be appreciated!

I was reading a post in another group that asked how folks were celebrating Diwali outside of India and 2 people mentioned that their whole street (in the US) exchanged sweets, put up lights, and pitched in for a community firecrackers permit. Hey guys… I’m a case worker in child safety and I’m someone who loves being outdoors/dies at a desk all day. I’m hoping to organise that at least once a week I can go to a cafe and catch up on all my case notes that need to go into the system.
