Now with the Deloitte layoffs announcement I feel my paranoia is reasonable. How do you manage work life balance when you want to keep your hours up for fear of losing your job? I have been asked to shift some of my work since I’m working too much apparently and others aren’t working enough, but that scares me. I am a February new hire, very nervous.

So physically and mentally tired, I don't know how long I can keep up with work anymore. Told my senior management that I'm burning out, only to be blessed with another secondment. I now have two going at the same time, plus other client work, new business work, and managing scroundels.

Is anyone from this bowl working at 6sense?

Throwing this out there. My company was recently acquired and I was laid off yesterday. I’m currently 6m pregnant so looking for a company that isn’t going to have a problem with my giving birth in 3m (looking for a miracle). 13 YOE in Marketing (Brand, Digital, Product, Ops). You name it, I’ve probably done it. Team management exp but not required in next role. Just looking for 100% remote, flexibility, and company that puts families first and won’t give me a hard time about doctor appts 🙏🏻

One of my senior managers is a boomerang and told me she was laid off when she was 7 months pregnant about 10 years ago. I think she was a senior or manager. She was in a specific group and everybody was laid off. It wasn’t performance based.

Of course I want to stay. My new lease hasn't started so I'm pretty sure I can easily back out. Estimated tax payment question:
I converted $30k of rollover 401k into a Roth IRA and have $26k of realized ST Capital Gains this year (Roth conversion in end of Q1 and most capital gains in Q2).
My total federal withholding tax last year was approximately $12k and this year I will have 40% more in reported income on my employer W2 and anticipate higher that $12k federal withholding for my new job.
