I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

SNA is the best/most convenient airport in the world.
No layover or cost is worth the commute from LAX to Newport.
Rent a car.
From the area. Getting in/out of LAX will make you want to get far away from civilization
Yup. The LAX to Newport commute is a soul sapper.
SNA is basically in Newport Beach, the airport is within 5-10 minutes from wherever you are staying
I’ve done both - LAX to/from OC / Newport is a PITA - and may be more time consuming than a connection to SNA.
That commute from LAX to Newport Beach can be killer (+1hr) —just go to SNA and deal with the limited flights..
There is also an airport in Long Beach. Still small but could be an option .
I did a year long project in OC (from FL) and tried both. SNA is worth the layover and cost. Getting to/from LAX is terrible unless your taking redeyes (even then it’s pretty rough)
Also are Uber’s easily accessible or should I rent a car?
Rent a car for sure. Uber’s never seem to know where they are going for some odd reason
I fly through LAX when there are no direct flights to SNA. I live near SNA but work East Coast. But if a good one hour layover through Vegas or Phoenix, that makes it worth not commuting out of LAX which is a cluster.
