Let's be real, your colleagues at pwc will most likely be gone by 1-2 years from now
^ this. I’d only stay for colleagues if you have a partner or someone high up helping you pave your way through the firm. If not then chase the money
Rising Star
I moved from PwC to Deloitte in 2019. I like my colleagues at Deloitte as much as I liked my colleagues at PwC, and Deloitte’s internal technology is soooo much better than pwc’s. With that increase in salary you should def take it

Internal tech - T&E, trips, resource management site, performance review site, etc. is all so much better than PwC and saves me headaches every day. But for alteryx - it depends on the team but alteryx isn’t just a license they give out to anyone so if it’s not something you want to work on you can just say no thanks and not get a license
55%??? What are you waiting for 🤣
Are you sure you want your first year as a senior to be at a new firm where you don’t know the processes or the people? The jump from associate to senior comes with greater expectations and from what I’ve seen, associates who make the switch to get the promo can sometimes have difficulties because they don’t have senior level experience already and everything is new to them.
@GT really depends on what direction you're transitioning in firm size. Couple people I know who went from regional to B4 actually said being a senior at B4 was miles easier than regional firm. At my regional firm, experienced associates are basically running engagements from start to finish and working complex sections leading up to senior promo.
55%... Yea ok
I just accepted an offer from KPMG advisory and I’m also getting a 55% increase (65 —> 95 + 7 signing bonus)
55%? Are you going from 50k to roughly 77k? If so, I guess I might believe that if you haven’t had a raise in a year and you’re getting a senior promo
I feel like this is a flex, you flexing on us?
Id say 20% is realistic
Make the move. Don’t burn bridges. If you hate it, come on back!
People come back all the time. Be respectful when you give notice and give at least two weeks notice. The door will always be open
What city?
When do you plan on getting promoted to senior at pwc? I think new s1 at pwc will start at 90k this July 1
Up for promo, heard couple years ago when firm was doing well S1 started 88k. Seems like they are doing well now, hoping to jump to 88-90k
your old colleague won’t make up 55% raise if you stay here.
