What’s the best work out of Singapore this year?
Hi all,
I have a offer from Perficient and joining in 2 months time. Question :
1: how is the company in terms of job security and projects? I work with web analytics
2: How is the hike and work life balance.
3: Attrition rate
4: Hike is good but will it be a safer vet like Accenture Operations?
Need some views from people working there.
Thanks in advance.

If you like your teams a lot and have good relationships, and are a year away from a promotion, and have tons of work available, I would stay.
If you dislike your teams, have weak relationships, just got promoted, or don't have a full schedule for the next few months then I'd consider it worth it to switch firms.
You only get one solid switch every few years so it's better to use it to get a 20% pay jump and or move from audit to another better paying LoS
This is one of the best responses I’ve heard to people asking if they should leave. Bravo. 👍🏻

You should think long and hard about moving from a big 3 to a regional. Drop in resources, technology, clients, especially prestige.
Look at all the KPMG folks coming to the defense!
Wow the kool-aid is so real here, people have actually convinced themselves they are worth more because they work at xyz firm. OP, I switched from PwC myself. While there is a lot I miss I can safely say the larger % of uptight and self-absorbed people is not one of them.
I have discovered since switching that happiness and professional growth depends 10x more on service line, office size, and specific team than the firm as a whole. If you are not happy now, or you do not have a boss or mentors who are willing to support you in your growth, then it cannot hurt to change. If you are happy with your team and your work, then I would reconsider.
At the end of day public is public. As they say, “same circus, different clowns”.
At the staff level, it may appear that what you say is true.
Firms will pay more to get you in the door and then even out your salary over the years with lower raises. Something to consider.
If the only thing you’re looking for is money then go for it.
Do it. Pay freezes have happened at all the big 4 already. If you will have room for growth at KPMG and you like the culture then go for it
Evaluate all aspects, including what you would lose with your 401k invested amount and or pension.
Excellent point - the 401(k) hit could be significant given the vesting schedule is 5 years at PwC. I’m sure it is similar at other Big4
I wouldn’t switch for anything less than 20%. Also, keep in mind the benefits you’d be giving up (ie student loan pay down, 401K not vested, etc).
KPMG is great! You’ll love it! Come!
Well, that escalated quickly!
One huge thing to consider is that my pay at PwC is so low that my savings are basically zero due to being in a high COL area. The pay bump would be a huge difference in financial stability.
If you’re an A player, working for KPMG is like being a statistical leader on the 0-13 Saints. If that’s what you want, jump.
I’d take being Drew Brees of this any day
Lol haha funny, even coming from BDO 🤣
Op it all depends on why you leaving, which group and which market. Also, what level are you and how invested are you at your current firm and group. If you are just looking at money this may not be right move but do what seems best for you.
Going for a year plus at 13% more pay at a time when firms aren't offering increases would make a big difference. I would strongly consider it as long as you feel the promotion prospects are equivalent based on your discussions with the team you'll work with.
Think beyond money. Consider other factors such as your team, client relationships, firm tools and resources. I wouldn't for a mere 13% raise which isn't a lot after tax.
I thought KPMG was at a hiring freeze. How are you getting in?
Most groups have a hiring freeze since we are not seeing the normal turnover. However there are areas where we have sold work and not enough people with the right skills. We will not hire
No dont 13% is way too low
Won’t be saying this come next year when we get raises of less than <5%
Don’t do it
