Oh man starting to feel super nervous as I’m getting interviews for the first time in a long time. I’m feeling like it’s time for me to leave and I want to make sure I negotiate right if I get an offer, but at early stages when you speak with the recruiter, is that the appropriate time to push back or just wait until you actually get an offer?

if the recruiter is from an agency that was hired by that company to bring in candidates, then i’d feel comfortable bringing up salary requirements early on / at any point. they typically have your best interest at heart since they do make a commission based on your salary. you can just let them know what you’d like to make and they can relay your request to the company when the time is right, but in my experience, this conversation usually happens in the early stages or when the company wants to make you an offer.

Hi I was interviewed by Capgemini in December 2021 and surprisingly they called in February 2022 for second round.

1. When can i expect call from hr?
2. I was thinking it is not genuine as they did not had clarity for which they were interviewing me. However in both round people who interviewed had email id with domain of Capgemini.

Did it happened with anybody else?

Please guide.
Thanks

Hello hive mind. I am currently interviewing with three agencies. Pretty far along with two of them. One of the positions is a Jr. copywriter position while the other two are just for a copywriter. How important would it be to not have the “Jr” before the title? Personally, I don’t care about the title, but wonder about future employer’s?

Just graduated with Aerospace Engineering degree. I am interviewing for multiple positions at once with different companies. One gave me an offer and they want me to get back to them within 2 days. I still have other interviews scheduled and some for higher paying jobs (around 90k) What should I do?
I do like the company that gave me an offer but their base pay was 80k and they went up to 85k. Is asking for them to match the 90k too much? The position is associate systems engineer.

Has anyone ever asked to renegotiate their salary after starting a job? I’m 2 months into my new job and I have far more responsibilities than what I was told. It’s a lot different than what was relayed in the posting and during the interviews. Additionally, they hired my counter part in as a senior manager which is at least $30k more than what I make. My peer has more experience so I expect that but I feel that I should be paid more, however I don’t want to leave a bad impression… any advice?

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

If so, were you able to negotiate a percentage of the consulting fee? Or was it a bump in salary during the project?
