Maybe Chris Wright can tell another story about how he wakes up early so he can come back and have dinner with his kids!
Lol yeah time shifting and stories about how appreciation days don’t work really motivate me
The pandemic burnout is real
Feeling the same way too. I don’t enjoy the BS work I’m doing, and combining that with the hours- I feel a little less alive as each working day goes by. I get gaslit every time I bring up the toxic projects I’m on to my PAMs too.
Just waiting for the pandemic to be over so that I can quit with some peace of heart.
THIS^ I joined ZS 3 months ago on this and I don’t see any of it, I just feel overworked and don’t know when a break is in sight.
People will tell me that what I was doing before wasn’t “real consulting” compared to now, but if this is the real deal I don’t know if it’s for me
Are you me? I’m 100% feeling the same way (and just got back from time off too). I’m trying to stick it out till we are back in the office in-person though. Working at ZS was way better before COVID
I feel you 😔
There are great people / culture lots of places... except maybe Deloitte
(It’s a joke!)
I do think the people are great, but not being able to see them in person and participate in office activities canceled that out.
I feel you.... me too!!
Everyone's experience is individual - really sorry things have been so bad for you!
I'm working with an amazing practice now, but the hours are still terrible and the burnout is real. Was working with some toxic managers before, so I personally know they're out there - you just need to find the good ones (or leave if you can't)
What practice area? Looking for some non toxic Ps
