UBS If I had to move within the company to a different location , how does it work? For example if I move from low cost of living area to high cost of living area does the company re-evaluate the base salary within USA? Or do they come back and mention its your family requirement since your partner is located and you are moving ?Suggestions or experiences any !

Google. Microsoft is still a great place, you’ll make a lot of money at either shop, and will have a lot of opportunity; there’s no real wrong answer. I think the culture at google absolutely blows Microsoft away. We worked with Microsoft exclusively at my last firm and they’re much more “corporate” than google is.
Oh also, being a “Ex-Googler” carries more weight than being ex-Microsoft (at least from my observation). Google did a great job at keeping mindshare with people, and most people seem to be more impressed by having worked for google.

M2 says it perfectly! Microsoft is good, but Google definitely has better brand recognition.

Google. It's is in more industries that are still growing.
In my totally unbiased opinion the snacks here are way better
Google: better brand and future opportunities in the long term
Microsoft if you get equity. Much more room for growth.
Money wise you won’t go wrong with either.
Google has arguably better work culture but depending on your team it may vary.
Google also has better street cred, but again depends on what you get to work on. More than brand name it is the actual experience so arguably a TPM from Google is not as good as SWE at MS in exit opportunities.
Best case scenario is get both offers, talk with your hiring manager and then figure out what you feel comfortable with.
Feel bad for the guy that went to Accenture out of the roommates lol jk. I’d probably keep interviewing and if I get both offers then I’d decide what makes more sense once having all of the details and knowing that I have the option of going to either
