As safe as anywhere else

If you sued to live in NYC, Atlanta will give you no problems.

likesmart

Yeah, I mean I survived living in New York City by myself as a white girl so I mean I should be fine that was the thought but just trying to be overly cautious I guess

Yes it’s safe but like any major city, lock your car, be aware of your surroundings, etc. Skip the mall and go hang out at The Battery if you need to kill time or grab a bite

like

Cumberland mall is fine. 99% of the time, crime finds those who are associated with criminals or didn’t take normal precautions like locking car or walking in a dark unfamiliar area without security etc. Most places are fine in Atlanta

like

Looks likes Vinings area. It’s relatively safe.

like

From what I remember that section that you mention sounds familiar, so that should be right

like

Used to go for runs over at Cochran shoals. It’s a very nice area, you have nothing to really worry about. Follow other advice posted but the north side is the safest side in atlanta.

likefunny

That’s not even really Atlanta lol. This is the area I live near and it feels safe to me as someone who recently moved here. But generally speaking, crime is a thing here as it is everywhere. Be careful. Car break-ins and scams are high here.

like

Hello 30080 friend

It’s safe, just busy. Definitely do Battery park while you are here.

like

Traffic sucks in that area…but that’s because traffic sucks everywhere in Atlanta. Other than that, it’s a nice enough spot. As everyone else said, go to the Battery.

like

I’ve heard a lot about the terrible traffic there, which is the other reason why I’m trying to create a very small driving situation so because my works office is right there and my local gym is right there. I’m just trying to stay within a very small vicinity not that I will be hopefully getting caught up in that crazy traffic every day.

It’s a safe area!

like

It should be fine.

like

Safe, good location too

like

I live right about where that arrow is. It's safe. Just don't leave stuff visible in your car, like you would anywhere. And be prepared for people to drive like maniacs whenever the roads aren't parking lots.

Also, Cumberland Mall is right next to Costco, so you might get run over by someone with a cart loaded with a flat screen tv and a pallet of paper towels.

like

I actually use sun blockers that are black on one side and silver on the other so I use silver externally facing during the day to try to keep the sun out but I use black sunblockers at night so that nobody can see in so hopefully that will be good enough. I mean that’s what I do anyway elsewhere.

Yes, this area is pretty much safe.

like

Safe!

like

It’s a safe area… I’m about 10min east. Feel free to DM if you questions

Sweet! Yeah, I would love to connect. That’s awesome that you’re only 10 minutes from the area that I’m targeting :-) I’ll definitely reach out.

Lol so youre going to The Home Depot, eh?!

Decent and safe area, it just gets congested with traffic when the game is being played and daily during rush hour which is around 5p. Feel free to contact me and I’ll give you the run down on everything you need to know.

It’s as safe as any other major city in the US. That’s a really nice area.

Hope you are OK, but there is a giant green arrow headed right at where you are going! Stay safe and keep lookout for that green arrow.

Hi all, I am trying to DCA bi-weekly into Vanguard ETFs, (VO, VTI etc). It seems like Fidelity does not support auto buying of non-Fidelity ETFs. So I was wondering which of these options you think is best?

1. Open a Vanguard Invest account
2. Look for Fidelity ETFs that are similar to Vanguard ETFs
3. Use smaller brokerages like SoFi l, Robinhood etc.

I really do not want to manage nor be active. My goal is to log-in like once every 6 months.

Thank you all.

Based off of Glassdoor, my salary matches Texas’s exactly and SF has the same role at 10k more. Should I show him the Glassdoor page? Don’t want to come off too strong. Please advise

Our district is so lax on the students this year. With tech issues and distance learning days, we’ve gone from accommodating to enabling real quick. No penalties for late work, taking excuses for attendance, lower academic and behavioral standards... We were beginning to make so much progress on transforming our school culture, but this year is erasing that and then some. Is anyone else concerned about how to raise the expectations and students’ self-discipline back to pre-enabling levels?
