Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.

Have you thought about why PM interview experience is totally different than the actual PM job ? PM interview goes typically with current domain, design xyz for abc, guesstimate; whereas in actual job you have ‘n’ no. of constraints to build, leadership priority , sufficient time to think etc. What are your thoughts?

Advice for someone 3-5 yrs into consulting, who loves the client element and the type of work... but is starting to feel slowdown in growth and not interested in subject area? I feel like the firm doesn’t value me (rated above avg. but not too), not earning as much as classmates now in other firms that are doing ok, and my mentor leaders want to pull me deeper into the work they do... do I just go with it, do I switch firms, do I try something different?

I don't know if renaming bowls is possible, but it feels like "Ready Partner One" is a missed opportunity here 😁

How do PPMDs make sure when you are replacing an incumbent, you don't get handed down a broken system ? What sort of knowledge transfer and contractual framework do you get the client to agree to and how do you negotiate on that? I feel clients are not always honest and hide a lot of landmines which a consulting company can walk into and blamed for it.
