Hello fishes, need some guidance on the following questions - How is cognizant doing currently? Is it safe to join cognizant? How about the attrition rate, any improvement? How about job security? Do they layoff? Looking for some serious suggestions. I have a loan on me, and my package is low. And IBM doesn't give any hike. So was looking to switch. But afraid after hearing about current situation of cognizant. I am thinking several times before coming to a conclusion. 🙂 @Cognizant

Name and shame, is the way to go. You are the Batman we all need. Thank you.
Gotham needs you.
Maybe your 135K was near top of the range in 2019? Ever thought of that? Unless you were also very junior in 2019 for them to offer you the bottom of the range.
Why don’t you apply and state the situation and understand what’s different (or similar) about the role, then inquire why comp hasn’t changed much since 2019?
Keep in mind, if you view inflation as transitory and not stuck in, the growth is 2.5% (assuming 135 is low for 2019 and 153 is high). That’s sort of inflationary growth. It’s not great but it’s not terrible.
Further, just because healthcare software is a “money minting business” as you say, doesn’t mean that every role needs to be outsized in comp.
Privileged background? I’m a first gen POC immigrant who lived at Jane and Driftwood from aged 5-10… (ifykyk that’s not exactly a privileged upbringing). My first job out of university was ~35K about 15 years ago.
I just live in the real world where I don’t expect people to pay me a lot for no reason…
