I know SQL but i hardly use it in my day to day work.
Do Power BI people really use SQL or only while creating OLAP views or please tell when do you guys use SQL?
Need to know if I am on the same page or not.

How do you get good at thinking on your feet? I find I always need time to think and analyse before being able to answer client queries (even those that are considered simple by others). I don't want to rush and get it wrong. I avoid phone calls for this reason which isn't great when you're in the service industry so it's starting to impact my career.

What was the most memorable pro bono project you've worked on?

For startup founders/people with a successful side project: How did you get the idea/inspiration for your business? I’m currently working at a Series B startup and my end goal has always been to found my own startup, but I graduated from college 2.5 years ago and I still have not had any great ideas cross my mind. I do spend a fair amount of time brainstorming. I don’t want to continue working here forever, but I’m struggling to generate that “this is it” idea to build a company for. Any advice?

I currently work as a Scrum master and eventually want to move over to being a Project manager. Any other SMs in this bowl that did the same?

I'm emotionally hit hard from my job, and would like someone to ground me a bit. I joined the new shop last month, with the team who we realized has zero pharma experience. We recently were put on a pitch because our client noticed this. Meanwhile my counterparts of this account has just won more budget, and openly recognized by our client leads. I have joined IBM and resigned within 50 days.
Reason: project I was allocated not good and I initially rejected project but they forcefully moved to the project.I have asked multiple times to replace the project after that I have resigned.
Now manager is threatening me that I will be placed under no hire to IBM.
Is it ethical?

I have recently joined NTT DATA. But realised that I am not really liking the project and work here. on top of that they are asking to come back to office. I have offer from other company (WFH) and aware of the work which I want. Should I put my resignation after 2 months of joining in NTT? What could be the negetive impact here?

Curious what that pays in CAD? I make equivalent to $145K CAD as an an Account Director / PM and Client Operations Lead at a mid-sized US-based PR/Digital comms company, with 6 yrs of exp managing multiworkstream teams and multimillion dolllar projs.

Noob question on selling puts- I just sold a weekly put that I WANT to get assigned. The stock fluctuate a few dollars a day so I’m looking for a specific price to own the shares at vs entering a limit order. I was fairly diligent last week, billed 60h, met all my deadlines and obtained positive feedback on my work. It was a lot harder than it sounds as I’m generally either late, screw up or get bad feedback. So big win. At the same time, it drained my body and brain to the point of not being able to work at all on Tuesday and spending the day watching TV. How do you build endurance and keep going when you feel limited? Ever think you’re just not made for this profession?

Sharing 2 great accountability apps: Beeminder and Stickk. Through these apps, you commit to daily, weekly, or monthly goals and stay accountable by putting an amount of money of your choice on the line. Beeminder’s interface is simple, but it has a built-in timer that I use to time pomodoros

What do you do to motivate yourself when you need to work on the weekend? I’m having a hard time getting started today (doesn’t help that I’ve worked every weekend for months now). Part of it is that I left the hard part of a project for last, but mostly I just don’t feel like working on a Sunday.
