I recommend committing to “just an hour or two” and that mentally helps me feel like I’m just going to knock out a few things really quickly, and I’ll feel much better after. I’m sorry you’re having to work on a weekend, there’s nothing worse than not having rest. The only bright side is that at least new projects/distracting emails don’t come in on the weekend and you can be a lot more efficient, generally.
I feel you, I’m in the same boat. There’s only so much you can do to make yourself motivated to work on a Sunday but what helps me is making a cup of coffee or going to my favorite local coffee shop to help lift my mood. Then I just tell myself how much less stressful Monday will be if I handle what needs to be done today and I try to start early enough that I can be done by 7 pm and still rest for a few hours on Sunday evening to recharge before the week.

I often fall in the trap of paralyzing the entire weekend when in the end I only spend 5 or 6 hours working inefficiently and the rest of the time whining, complaining and sitting in front of my laptop watching instagram stories and feeling sorry for myself when with the right organization I could have had some time to enjoy myself.
If you’re not a morning person, and what you enjoy about weekends is sleeping in, do not set an early alarm- allow yourself to have a lazy morning before starting.
If you are a morning person, do set a morning alarm and make exciting plans for the afternoon or evening to look forward to, this way working will feel like “getting it out of the way” and your weekend will not be sacrificed or lost.
Also, if you’re working because of an emergency, and expect to have an easier week, allow yourself to have an evening off later in the week to compensate and think about that when you start working on the weekend (and by evening I mean stop working at 7pm, but if your job allows you to take an entire afternoon off do that)

Also, whenever something seems like a chore remember why you’re doing it (to help my team and clients, to advance my career, to become a better lawyer, or simply to be able to meet that deadline more comfortably on Monday) and remember what you’re getting out of it (the billable hours, the good results, faster career progression, more skills acquired, etc)
