A fun activity I did in Rome was “cooking classes in Rome pizza and pasta school”. You learn how to make stuff and then you eat it and there’s wine. Win win.
I just got back from Rome. We were there for four days. It was great!! It was just hubs and I though.
For areas to stay - I would stay in the city center as most things are walkable from there. We stayed near piazza navona
Places to eat - if you want to get away from the tourists I’d suggest checking out trastevere for places to eat. Lots of different options within walking distance of one another. We really enjoyed a meal at osteria di’zumberto.
Things to do - suggest doing the organized tours if you’re into history. We did a walking tour the first day that was pay what you want. Then did Vatican and also a bike tour at night. We also did a cooking class which was fun!
Again, you can walk or take a bus to most places, we did not do the hop on/hop off thing.
If 7 days too short how about 10 days then? Still too much? 😭
Okay I will spilt btw Florence and Rome!
Trying to do too much - why not just Milan and Florence then day trips in Tuscany
Go to Napoli. They have the best food in Italy. It’s a bit rough around the edges though.
