“Hi everyone, I’m a Chinese person currently working in Singapore on an employment visa.
I’ve been working in the logistics industry, specifically in planning & customs clearance, for almost 2 years.
My university major was Advertising, and before this I had several internships in China (mainly e-commerce operations at large internet companies).
Now I want to switch careers into marketing or business operations, and I’d like to ask for some advice.
Thank you very much!”

smart

You sound very experienced. I'd like to ask how long you've been in this industry?

1.5 years. But I got some internship experience. Total 2.5 years.

Hello all - I have been offered a role with a big 4 in Canada for the "Manager" level. Since, it is a new market, I am unaware of the salary benchmark and big4 pay range in Canada.

It would be of great help if you could assist with the pay range for a Manager working for a big4 in Canada? I do have a ball park figure in mind, after researching a bit online. But, if anyone actually knows that pay range in Canada, please let me know.

I'm accepting an offer with a new company... Start in early Aug. Senior Manager role, though in this company that equates to Manager at most consulting farms. They did not had hunt me. I came to them for the job.

I have COVID delayed vacations planned for the last week in August and the first week in October.

Should I just cancel one of them? Or should I at least put both on the table and see what they say? They're going to hire me either way, but I wonder if it's a bad start to ask for both.

There are very few entry-level roles and many places are only hiring “Sr UXR” with 3-5+ years of experience! Any tips on how to break into this field and/or stand out as a junior applicant?? Thanks!

I’ve been with my current company for a little over 5 years now and since the start of the pandemic have been WFH. I absolutely love WFH and have always wanted a position in which I could WFH. There is talk of bringing everyone back to the office full time and that’s not what I would like to happen. I’ve been searching for a new position in which it would be a remote role. My current company also said I am maxed out in term of what they are willing to pay salary wise.

Made a career pivot to another agency. During the interview we talked about how it may start as initially a "step backwards" (pay/benefits) but has potential for more long term growth. First day was yesterday. Had no communication about when or where to show up, sat in an empty office for about half an hour before a couple people finally showed. No phone call or email. Sent an email to the founder, no response. I could easily get my old job back if wanted.

What would you do in this situation?
