Potentially dumb question: I’m interviewing with Google and they do not give me the email address (or even the full name) of my interviewer… no expectation of a thank you email right? I could probably hunt them down on linked in but that feels aggressive…

You can send to your recruiter to pass along, but there’s no expectation. They purposefully do not give out full names/emails.

Thanks!

You can guess it. If you have gmail their photo will pop up when you type in their email. If you guess right you ll see their photo before sending. That’s what I did and people who interviewed me were happy to get an email from me.

I would advise against LinkedIn contact channel. It is very common to send the thank you to your recruiter to pass along. Do this within 24 hours to keep top of mind before the interviewer submits their rating / assessment of you.

What I've done in situations like this is to bring drafted, hand written thank you cards with me to the interview. Once you've interviewed with everyone and know their name, you can easily address the thank you card to them. The person that greeted you and showed you around all day is a nice familiar face with whom you can leave the cards to ensure they make it to the right people.

These were all virtual interviews but that’s a great idea for in-person ones!

Just got out of one of my final round interviews. It’s been over 8 weeks of prep. Got a little nervous and may have messed up on the case, PEI went okay. Have the other later this week. NFW- I just had a good laugh. Earlier today I was on a video conference call reviewing a Private Label Agreement template with a larger company who wishes to brand label products we develop and manufacture. We came to a very one-sided provision and my sales VP stated “for this one, how can we just say ‘hell no’ ...nicely?” The other person on the call said we can replace the wording with just NFW (no f@$* way) and I said “I will have to add that to the defined terms section so it’s clear”

I’m in-house at a small company (60 people), started right out of law school about 5 years ago. We had a legal team of 5 then. Everyone has left and we just hired a new GC. I went from $70k to $100k a little over a year ago. I am expecting an offer from a firm doing business law work but think this might be an opportunity to go to my current employer and ask for a significant raise, with new offer in hand. Any thoughts or advice going into this?

Can anyone help me wrap my head around this post Series C start-up equity offer? It’s an IP director position, the the base is $170 with 10% bonus (both lower than I was expecting). There’s also an equity component: 0.15% of current fully diluted equity. This equates to about 30000 shares at a strike price of $2. They also indicate the preferred stock price is $6 and preferred stock equity is $188k (whatever that means). They are in the middle of a new financing and valuation round.
