I might end up with an offer of 7 lpa with British council for sAp security. Currently I am with ibm at 4.89 lpa, I want to stay at IBM but not at this pay. Just found out that end of the year I will be promoted from analyst directly to VP and since it’s such a large jump I’ll be the lowest paid VP in asset management at only $135k TC. I recently interviewed with Natwest and I got confirmation that they wanted to offer a role. Salary negotiations were started. However, now I got an email from the hiring manager that hiring for my role has been paused due to the ongoing cost of living crisis. He expects to resume the hiring for the role in Q1 '23 and would resume the process then. So is it the end? Honestly, I don't expect him to come back. But what do you think?

Any tips on how to deal with this…my entire team was let go today (was 5, now just me). Recently I was taking interview for a candidate, I was asking him questions on Binary Tree/Linked lists etc.. He couldn't answer any, And on top of that he argued "we don't need data structures and algorithms since frameworks/Libraries are already there". So just a message young engineers out there. These technologies/Frameworks are written with the knowledge of DSA. Even non-technical people will be able to use them provided with proper training. So don't forget the engineering roots ever....
