Anyone in DFW want to do something?
PwC A recruiter from PWC reached out to me to ask if I’d consider a different office the one I applied to, since it’s full. It would be Boston, Hartford, Chicago, Minneapolis, Little Rock, Denver, San Francisco or San Jose. MSA candidate. Is there a fully remote option? Do you have to be in the office all the time? Is the compensation high at PWC? Is there a possible moving expenses? Any insight or advice would help me make a decision. Thank you!

Don't call it San Fran
There are no pros - you'll be broke paying for rent. Move to LA or Seattle, it's cheaper
Everything smells like piss and that's not dog shit on the sidewalk it's human ( sf )
Agree with above, plus all you'll hear when you go out are douche bags talking about their crappy start up
Live in SF, rent is $6,500 a month, new high rise, and right across from my brand new apartment...crack heads I see shooting up late at night. SF is a mixture of extravagance and 3rd world poor. One block can be million dollar apartments and the next block can be a dump. Live it, love it, afford it, or leave. From a local
San Jose is cheaper but it's all crazy expensive. SF is an exciting place to live.
Heroin Junkies outside your $5000/mo apt. you decide if that's a pro or a con.
Following trying to move to sf
Actually getting ready to see a real correction to the real estate out here,
.
Working local is a pro. Haven't done mon-thurs in years.
I live in San Jose, there's cheap apartments to be had ($800-900 per month) but they're mainly in 4 person houses. (You still have your own room, and it's like 3-4K sq ft.)
Burritos.
In a good or bad way
SF is so pretty (the land, bridges, landscape, etc. - not the crackheads) and there's a lot to do in the city and within an hour or so outside the city. Yes there's a homeless problem and yes there are arrogant, douchy tech bros, but it's a big city. That's what you get. Also rent doesn't have to be 6k, to say that's average is a huge exaggeration. I pay 2750 for a great place with great views - I could (and will probably) downgrade and save money though. I pay the highest rent out of my friends. Those with roommates can find places in nice areas for under 2k. And you don't have to pay for a car.
SF uses to be a place to live, now it's more of a place to visit. Tech assholes masquerading as world changers... One app at a time.
Look into Portland and Austin if you're looking for fun cities.
