Subject Expert
Has your buyers agent had a conversation with the selling agent to understand what the sellers value? Quick close? Money in their pocket? Are there concerns about repairs?
How much are you putting down for your earnest money? You could increase that.
Are you financing the deal? If so, are you prepared to cover an appraisal gap if it comes up? If so, it may be worth waiving your appraisal contingency.
Were you planning to ask for repairs or a buyers credit through the inspection? One way to sweeten the deal is to say “no repairs” as a part of the inspection.
Have you thought about an escalator clause? Saying you’ll pay $1k more than any other offer up to a maximum number.
These are all things that a good buyers agent would have told you instead of having to ask on an anonymous app like this…
What work does the house need?
HVAC system is 22 years old so would eventually have to be replaced.
The kitchen appliances are also 22 years old and would have to be changed soon.
Some leakage issues that were fixed, but would have to be determined during inspection

I've been here numerous times. Just make sure it's a number where you're comfortable saying: I'm happy if I get it, and not unhappy if I lose it to some idiot willing to pay even more. There're always more fish in the sea.
If this house ticks all the boxes for you, a few thousand is not much from a grand scheme of things.
