That sounds pretty quick indeed. Maybe they’re just quickly meeting people to just have a first feeling for them.
But! If it felt okay, just stay positive and follow up when the time is there. Tell them you were excited to meet them and you’re curious if/when they’ll tell you about possible next steps.
You NEVER know what they’re thinking and what’s happening in the background. Whatever happens don’t take it personal. There are soooo many factors that can influence that decision.
Client wins/losses, budget changes, internal politics, diversity needs, type of creative they decide they need…
Even if they like you and your work, if somehow they decide to spend their budget on a designer for now - you’re gone.
Or for some reason they need British creatives for the new client they won and you’re American - you’re gone etc.
I think if it were a flat-out no, they wouldn’t have bothered. A fast interview might mean they’ve seen what they needed to from your portfolio and just wanted to confirm a few things.
Yea maybe they have a second interview that's more in depth on the way?
I wouldn't read a lot into it. There are some people who like to get a quick sense about people before they book a lot of time with them. I suspect it's something like that. And, you can't really know what's happening at their end. Just hold positive thoughts and look forward to hearing from them soon.
Like a quick vibe check / personality read?
That feels a bit short and impersonal. But maybe they're running through a lot of people.
Honestly I wouldn't read to much into it and would just wait it out. I think as humans we have a tendency to get in our heads and overthink things when there really is no need. Hopefully you will hear good news back from them.
