Reasonable workload? I’m an Ops Director and started 5 months ago. I oversee gift shop, marketing, events, volunteers, membership, and office management staff plus our accountant. I am also HR. Almost everything is from scratch: health ins., changing business insurance, staff handbook, osha compliance, safety and training, job descriptions, annual goals, evaluations, our annual audit, plus IT and database. I’m overwhelmed and not meeting deadlines. Shouldn’t I have a handle on it by now?

Did everyone in M&S get the crap end of the stick in this reorg or just some areas? Curious how many will be putting in two-week notices soon.

There’s a practice group that I’ve been trying to find work in but whenever I volunteer to help, I always get roped in to do non billable work. We are seeing more pushback from employees on working 40 hours. We offer flexibility (wfh), 11 holidays and another 3 wks PTO. Seems like a good gig, I think, at 40-45 hrs. Anyone seeing this too?

Has anyone found a way to automate salary certifications?

We get about 3-5 requests daily to fill out salary certifications for our employees in EMEA.

At the moment, we have to do all of them manually. We open a pdf, then open their employee file and plug away. It's tedious and time-consuming, but the banks I found won't accept an internal salary certification for some reason. They're adamant about using their form. Has anyone come across this?
